The staff at Paws & Claws Animal Hospital are highly skilled in performing veterinary surgeries and are ready to provide a broad range of surgical services for your pets. We perform routine surgical procedures, spays and neuters, as well as more complicated emergency and soft tissue surgeries.

Before Surgery

We pride ourselves in our guarantee that your furry companion will receive excellent care. Prior to any surgical procedure each patient has a meticulous physical examination. This allows the veterinarian to recognize any existing medical abnormalities that could endanger your pet's health.

During Surgery

During all surgical procedures our staff monitors the patient’s blood pressure, heart rate, CO2, oxygen saturation, EKG, and body temperature. All surgical patients have an IV catheter, receive IV fluids and pain medication during the procedure. Pain management is a part of all surgical procedures before, during and after. We take outstanding care of your pets to ensure a safe and complete anesthetic recovery.

After Surgery

When your pet is ready to go home, we will review the detailed discharge instructions including medications, exercise restriction and wound management. If you have any questions before or after surgery please call us, we welcome your questions and will do all we can to help your pet recover fully.
